        Ethan sat in his chair with this head slumped forward and his arms hanging limply at his sides. He was hypnotized, that much was clear, but what exactly to do with him? Marissa looked over her friend's grown son, who seemed to be in that awkward stage of life where they are technically an adult but still somewhat stuck in a childish mindset.         The knock at the door was subtle but impossible to miss despite the heavy rainfall outside. Marissa slowly moved towards the door, a little nervous. She didn’t live in a bad neighborhood, but a random knock at the door late at night, in the middle of a storm, was the start of too many horror movies.

        Rayne sat in the lounge of the boys dormitory pretending to read a book while she covertly watched the hallway outside of the lounge. She knew Josh was due back from his shift at the computer lab and she intended to pay him a visit. For the last few days she had been thinking about everything that had happened between him, her, and her friends. One day he was hypnotizing the three of them, and the next, they were hypnotizing him. The situation was…most interesting. At least to her. 
        As she sat contemplating the week's events she noticed a very weary looking Josh trudge down the hallway. For some unknown reason he had volunteered to work a 14 hour shift in the computer lab twice a week. While it did get the better part of his work week out of the way, the mental and physical toll it took was quite evident on him. His eyes seemed bloodshot, his hair was a mess and his shoulders were visibly slouching. His usually neat shirt was untucked and he looked like he was going to faceplant any second. 
        Rayne smiled to herself. “Perfect.” she thought as she laid down the magazine she had been holding and moved into the hallway behind Josh. He had just managed to swipe his key to unlock the door when she decided to pounce! She ran down the hallway behind him as quickly as she could, caught him off guard and shoved him hard into the now open door of his dorm room.

     The wooden swing on the cabin porch rocked gently in the evening air, slow and easy, the kind of motion that made it very hard to stay awake. Which suited Sleepy Girl just fine. She had settled into it sometime earlier, her blue and gold armor catching what little light still filtered through the trees. She was just resting. Taking a break from her day. She didn't hear Vallarie approach. But she felt her, the soft warmth of another presence leaning into her space and then a voice, low and close to her ear.
     "You look comfy…" Vallarie whispered through a slight smile.
     Sleepy Girl smiled without opening her eyes. "Why thank you. Care to join me?"
     "Sure you don't mind?" Vallarie said, already settling down beside her with the graceful ease of someone who had never once been told no. "I don't want to disturb your nap."
